Hyra is a small team obsessed with one thing — making sure the local shop never misses a call, with an AI voice agent that answers, books, and follows up, without the shop having to change a thing.
Our story
We bootstrapped Hyra in 2025 because local shops were losing real money to missed calls.
Every missed call is a booking that never happened, an order that went to the shop down the street, a regular who gave up and tried someone else. The big call-center tools cost more per month than an independent shop makes in a slow weekend, and the cheap ones sound like robots no one wants to talk to.
So we started with the simplest possible thing — an AI voice agent that answers your line, books appointments, takes orders, and writes everything into a CRM you can run from the same iPad you use to take payment. No new hardware. No call center. No script to memorise. We shipped the first version on nights and weekends and watched a local shop let it answer real customers the morning after.
We're still small, and we like it that way. The founder writes code with Claude every day; every line of Hyra has been read by a human and a frontier model before it ever touches your shop. Customer support comes from the same inbox. Bugs get fixed the day they're reported.
Still self-funded. Still building from a small office in Palo Alto.
